2) What are the Police Dept. Clerk hours?

The Police Dept. Clerk hours are Mon.-Thurs. 10:00am-4:00pm, Fri. 12:00pm-4:00pm

The Public Works hours are from 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday (419)645-4169

4) Is there a utility emergency number to call for after hours?

If you have a utility emergency and the problem has occurred after our office or maintenance hours, please contact the Auglaize County Sheriffs Dept., at (419)739-6565. They will then contact a village crew member and relay to them of the problem.


5) Is there a fee to pay my water/sewer bill online?

Yes, there is a small convenience fee of $3.95. The convenience fee is not collected by the village, it goes directly to the service company providing the online service. The convenience fee does increase with amounts $100 and larger.


6) What are the Cridersville Historical Musuem hours?

Cridersville Historical Museum hours are 1:00pm-4:00pm on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of March-November

7) Does the Village of Cridersville have an income tax?

Yes, the village has a 1% income tax enacted since 2004 and an additional 0.5% that was passed in 2021.


8) When are the monthly Council Meetings?

Monthly Council meetings are always on the second Monday of every month starting at 7:30pm at the Village Hall


9) Does the village have a leaf pick up plan in the fall?

Yes, through the month of November only, the village crews will pick up bagged leaves from residents within the village as long as they are placed by the edge of the street. No yard waste or sticks/limbs will be accepted.

All park hours are from:
   6:00am-6:00pm November 21st-March 1st
   6:00am-9:30pm March 2nd-November 20th


11) What kind of sports does the Village of Cridersville offer?

Athletics that the village offers are baseball, softball, and football


12) Does the village have a recycling program?

Residents can drop off recyclables into the recyclable containers that are located on the West side of the Recycling Center located in Tower Park.


13) Does the village have a compost faciilty?

The village does not have a compost facility but residents and purchase a punch card from the City of Wapakoneta and take the compost and yard waste to their facility.

Cridersville Library hours are 10:00am-7:30pm Monday, Closed Tuesday, 10:00am-7:30pm Wednesday, 3:00pm-7:30pm Thursday, Closed Friday, 10:00am-12:30pm Saturday, Closed Sunday. (419)645-5447


15) What is the curfew within the Village of Cridersville?

Curfew for 15 years old and younger are to be in by 10:00pm and to be out no earlier than 6:00am everyday. Kids ages from 16 to 17 are to be in by 11:00pm and to be out no earlier than 6:00am Monday-Thursday. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, kids ages 16 to 17, are to be in by 12:00am and out no earlier than 6:00am.


16) What to do when a Snow Emergency is issued?/p>

A Snow Emergency will be issued when the Village has received 4" or more of snow. Residents that live on Main St. and/or anyone else with vechiles parked on Main St. must be removed and be removed from 6:00am-6:00pm. Residents also have to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks within the first 4 hours of daylight.


17) Is there an ordiance regarding the length of grass or mowing grass?

Yes, ordiance #174.50 states that any yard that is 8" or taller is in violation. Ohio Basic Code #93.27 indicates that no one should liter into the street, which includes blowing grass into the street which is also a violation.
