Education
Our Education
A place's investment in its children and education speaks volumes, and Cridersville prioritizes learning. As part of the Wapakoneta School District, our children enjoy modern facilities equipped with advanced technology and opportunities in arts, music, and athletics. The district covers 159 square miles and includes Wapakoneta and Cridersville, serving 3,074 students across five schools.
With a student-teacher ratio of 20 to 1, our high school graduation rate is 92.5%, and student attendance is 96.1%. These figures reflect the quality of our students and staff, as well as the commitment of our families, who value education and partner with schools. This dedication to excellence is evident in classrooms, concert halls, athletic fields, and future workplaces.
Currently, the district is investing $65 million in a new elementary school in Cridersville, fostering a legacy of success recognized by the Ohio Hall of Fame and Ohio School of Promise accolades.
Cridersville Elementary
You can tell a great deal about a place by the investment it makes in its children and their education, as this commitment often reflects the values and priorities of the community. Cridersville has always placed a strong emphasis on fostering a love for learning and ensuring that education remains a pivotal focus for its residents, recognizing that the future of the community lies in the hands of its youth. In line with this vision, the Wapakoneta School District is making a substantial investment of $13.5 million to construct a new elementary school in Cridersville. This significant funding demonstrates not only a commitment to improving educational facilities but also a deep belief in the potential of every child to thrive in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
